Lowell B. Sparks, of Monroeville, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 27, 1932, in Norwalk, to the late George "Stan" Stanford Sparks and Fannie (Bascom) Sparks Stein.
Throughout his youth, he worked for his father's business in Monroeville. After high school, Lowell proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard before he began working for Norwalk Furniture. During his 28.5 years of retirement, he travelled extensively all over the country. He loved shopping at flea markets and auctions and was a wheeler-dealer. He was a farmer, fisherman, painter, and an aficionado of John Deere tractors. He was skillful in woodworking and found joy in riding ATVs and 4-wheelers in the desert and mountains. His favorite pastime was telling stories and he would stop and talk to anyone. Most of all, his family was his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them.
Lowell was from Monroeville but currently resided in Tacna, Arizona. He was a 40-plus-year member of Monroeville American Legion and a Lifetime Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lincoln City, Oregon.
