Louis H. Copsey Jr., 89, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2023.

Louis was born Jan. 1, 1934, to Louis Sr. and Ethel Copsey. Louis was a lifelong resident of Norwalk and 1952 graduate of Norwalk High School. He served in U.S. Army from 1954-1956. Upon returning home, he worked at Boxboard Packaging Company until he retired. Louis was a lifetime member to many organizations including VFW, Eagles, and American Legion. Louis enjoyed bowling and fishing in his spare time. He especially loved to take his two nephews fishing.

Louis is survived by his brother, John Copsey; nephews, Robert Copsey Jr. and Tom Hillman; niece, Cheryl Matteson; and many more nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Copsey Sr. and Ethel (Harding) Copsey; sister, Marilyn (Copsey) Hillman; and brother, Robert W. Copsey Sr.

Louis' graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at Meadow Green Cemetery, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to VFW, 140 Milan Ave., Norwalk, or Disabled American Veterans, 87 Woodlawn Ave., Norwalk.
