Linda G. McQuillen, 75, of Shiloh, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at home following a long illness.
Linda was born March 18, 1948, in Carrizozo, New Mexico, to Cecil and Fredia "Jackie" Thompson.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Diane Vaughn of Waco, Texas; and first husband, John "Bill" Thew of Galion.
Linda married Terry McQuillen on Feb. 16, 2004, and he survives. They lived on the family farm in Shiloh.
Linda is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bill (Debra) Brown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mr. C. Lynn (Lisa) Thompson of Belen, New Mexico; children, Mrs. Del (Susan) Smith of Malvern, Mr. John (Stephanie) Thew of Ontario, Ohio, and Mr. Jared (Jessica) Thew of Ontario; stepsons, Mr. Chad (Samantha) McQuillen of Lexington, Kentucky, and Vic McQuillen of Shiloh; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces in Ohio, Indiana, California, Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
Linda loved spending time with her family and her Yorkie, Cody. She also loved going to the casinos when vacationing out west. She loved fishing on Lake Erie.
She owned and operated the restaurant in Savannah known as Olde Keyes then Linda's Country Cooking. Following her retirement from the restaurant, she enjoyed driving many Amish and Mennonite friends and neighbors to their destinations, locally and surrounding states.
Linda is a member of Adario Global Methodist Church.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2023, at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main Street, Greenwich, Ohio, 44837. Linda's funeral will be Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Adario Global Methodist Church, 1790 Adario East Road, Shiloh, Ohio, 44878. Burial will follow at Adario Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Butler Township Hall.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
