Linda Fauber Obituary

Linda Bush Fauber

Jan 20, 1952 - Feb 19, 2026

Concord, NC

Linda Sue Bush Fauber, 74, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her children.

She leaves behind a legacy defined by an advocacy for others, a love of animals (especially cats!), and a sharp wit that made her nearly unbeatable at word games.

Born in 1952 in Norwalk, Ohio, to Hazel and Dale Bush, Linda married her high school sweetheart, Timothy Fauber, in 1970. Despite being told they were "too young" to get married, they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this past year. As Linda often remarked, "I can't imagine living my life with anyone but Tim."

Linda's life was a testament to the power of serving others. Whether it was as a rape crisis counselor, providing a voice for those in their most vulnerable moments, or as a curriculum developer for trade programs at local community colleges, she was always dedicated to lifting others up.

Yet for all the lives she touched professionally, Linda's greatest work happened within the walls of her own home. She was the foundation of her children's educations, chairing countless Parent-Teacher Organizations and creating a home where her kids, Scott Fauber and Amy Fauber-Otlewski, were always encouraged to discover what they were passionate about and run with it.

As good a mother as Linda was, she may have been an even better grandmother. To her five grandchildren, Linda was simply "Mimi." She was the grandmother always ready to cheer her grandkids on from the sidelines, always eager to handcraft someone's next birthday card, always excited to spend an afternoon building Legos.

Her smile and warm spirit will forever be missed.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her husband, Timothy Fauber of Concord, North Carolina; children (and in-laws),Scott (Leigh) Fauber of Los Angeles, California, and Amy (Michael) Fauber-Otlewski of Harrisburg, North Carolina; grandchildren, Nathan Fauber (15), Noa Fauber (12), Bryn Otlewski (13), Ilana Otlewski (11), and Dean Otlewski (8); and a sibling, Judith Gott of Norwalk.

A memorial service will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) or Best Friends Animal Society. https://bloodcancerunited.org/ or https://bestfriends.org/
