Larry E. Olshewski, 76, of New London, died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at his residence.

Larry was born Dec. 8, 1947, to Michael and Kathryn (McConnel) Olshewski. He was a proud veteran of U.S. Air Force. Larry was hard working and was a devoted employee of R&L Carriers for over 35 years.

An avid outdoorsman, Larry was happiest spending time in nature with those he loved most. Traveling, camping, boating, fishing, and riding horses were some of his favorite activities. He also liked riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle for many years.

Larry's survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Arla (Carpenter) of New London; children, Larry G. Olshewski of New London, Diane G. Olshewski of New London, and Scott L. (Bonnie) Olshewski of Willard; brother, Michael D. (Connie) Olshewski of Norwalk; granddaughter, Victoria Daugherty; two grandchildren, Tony Albright and Crystal Smeltz; two great-grandchildren, Eliza and Kallen; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Arlene Merkley; and grandson, Jacob June.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, until the time of Larry's funeral at 6 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London, Ohio, 44851. Larry's nephew, Paul Asmus, will officiate. In honor of Larry, the family asks that everyone dress casually.
