Larry A. Herner, 83, of Monroeville, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Hospital in Norwalk. He was born June 22, 1941, in Willard to the late Clarence and Zella (Wheeler) Herner. Larry had worked at R.R. Donnelly and then worked for the Ohio Turnpike until he retired. He enjoyed softball, dartball, golfing, and hunting mushrooms. His favorite sports teams were Cleveland Indians and Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Cavello) Herner, whom he married September 5, 1959; five children, Mike (Kelly) Herner, John Herner, Kathy Sledge (Brent Willingham), Scott Herner and Robert (Nikki) Herner; five grandchildren, Chad, Megan, Amanda, Sydney, and Travis; six great-grandchildren, Revan, Kanan, Kyrsten, Bradley, Andrew, and Daniel; a sister, Carolyn Thompson; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Herner.
Visitation will be from 10-12 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, at Secor Funeral Home in Willard. A funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Friday, with Deacon Bruce Alge officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
