Kristina Kaye (Smuck) Sellers was born Sept. 27, 1967, in Bluffton, Indiana.

Kristi is survived by her husband, David Sellers; children, Cardin, Reece, and Casteel; mother, Sonja (Cardin) Buckler; father, William Harold Smuck and his wife, Ronda (Winger); brother, Dr. Matthew Smuck and his wife, Dr. Kamala Rodrigues and their children, Nayan and Asher; and sister, Kari (Smuck) Nelson and her husband, Bret.

Kristi lived her life with exuberant joy and service to others. In 1991, she married her ever-lovin' David Sellers. After graduating from nursing school with a BSN, she worked in pediatric units for most of her career. Then in 1997, much to her surprise, she became a mom. Her love for her children soon became another passion and purpose in life. She loved her family fiercely, almost as much as her Savior, Jesus Christ. If you met Kristi, you know her joy was in Jesus, and His love for others became her own.

In 2010, breast cancer became part of her journey. She used this diagnosis as a platform to give praise and glory to God every step of the way. Philippians 1:21 became her daily mediation. "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." She lived her life with full faith in Jesus and became His instrument.

Visitation with her family will be 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at Substance Church, 101 W South St., Ashland, Ohio. A celebration of life service will be at 12 p.m. Saturday at the church with a meal to follow. A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton, Indiana.
