Kathryn Dickens Obituary

Kathryn L. Dickens

Jun 2, 1934 - Nov 30, 2025

Huron

Kay Dickens, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Parkvue Place. She was born June 2, 1934, to Bob and Elizabeth Saal in Cleveland. Kay was a homemaker when her children were young. She then worked at H & R Block during tax season for many years thereafter. Later, she was also employed at Sawmill 1887 Shops in Huron. The highlight of every year for Kay was to attend her family reunion Labor Day weekend, where some 200+ members of her family would gather for three days. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, James M. Dickens; sons, Robert (Carol) Dickens of Sandusky, Michael Dickens of Elmore, and Mark (Cheri) Dickens of Florida; daughter, Diane Dickens of Parma; brothers, Tom (Judy) Saal of North Ridgeville and John Saal of Westlake; sister-in-law, Linda Saal of North Ridgeville; four grandchildren, Christopher, David, Keith, and Brian; four great-grandchildren, Ben, Kendall, Olivia, and Leila; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Jo Weiss and Margaret Saal; brothers, Bob and Bill Saal; sister-in-law, Sue Saal; and brother-in-law, David Weiss.

Her family would like to thank Parkvue Place for their wonderful care. Arrangements entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral & Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
