Julia Ellen Johnson, 83, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024.
Julie was born Jan. 22, 1940, in Sandusky, to Frank and Bernice (Leitzke) Jones.
Julie graduated from Sandusky High School in 1958. She was employed as a Medical Records Transcriptionist at Firelands Regional Medical Center for 27 years. She was a member of AMVETS and V.F.W. and an American Legion auxiliary member. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and pets, and was a lover of music.
Julie is survived by her son, F. James (Nancy) Johnson of Mayfield Village; son, Daniel Thomas Johnson of Huron; grandchildren, Easton, Corey, Alex, and Brandon; sisters, Norma (Mark) Chambers and Cathy Fay; and brother, Michael (Janice) Burlovich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Jones and Richard Jones; and sisters, Judy Walborn and Deborah Faulkner.
Visitation for friends will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, until the time of Julia's memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.

I meet Julie at church! She was one of the first to make me feel welcomed! She told me much of her early life and how she turned it around. I lost touch with her and was so sorry to hear of passing. She and I had good conversation and laugh alot too! My whole heart condolences to all of you.
