It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our mother, Joyce Ann Mularoni, 92, of Grover Beach, California, who passed peacefully in her sleep early Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Sandusky, the daughter of Chester Anthony Wonder and Mary Elizabeth (Deme) Wonder Carlisle. Joyce was full of love, laughter, and resilience. She touched the lives of all who knew her.

Joyce was an avid reader, doing word search books and taking care of her lovely flowers. She could always be found watching football during the football season. She was loyal to The Ohio State Buckeyes and numerous NFL teams. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing for Lake Erie perch and spending time in the swimming pool. She appreciated living on the Central Coast of California after moving there from Florida. She especially liked going to Pismo Beach, California, to watch the sunsets.

Joyce is survived by her children, Diana (Charles) McAllister of Florida, Kim (Neil) Uppal of Maryland, Tammy (Ross) Jenkins of Indiana, and Scott (Becky) Mularoni of California; eight grandchildren, Johnny, Carla, Stacy, Julie, Kelly, Lindsay, Alex, and Garrett; 10 great-grandchildren, Marley, Harper, Lucas, Chase, Austin, Walker, Cameron, Madeline, Eliana, and Aidan; and countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Dutton; and granddaughter, Jennifer.

We will always carry her memory in our hearts. In honoring her wishes, Joyce will be cremated and there will be no formal services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to one's favorite charity.
