Joyce C. Boyes, born Dec. 27, 1931, peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Parkvue Care Center, Sandusky.
Joyce was a cherished member of the community, known for her love of playing cards at Huron Boat Basin, spending quality time with her beloved family and friends, and indulging in her passion for reading.
She was a proud graduate of Providence School of Nursing and worked as a RN at Providence Hospital until she retired. As a lifelong resident of Huron and dedicated member of Zion Lutheran Church, Joyce leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Joyce is survived by her loving children, Jody Caporini (John), Jim Boyes (Tracy), and Brenda Lochinski (Tom); grandchildren she was proud of, Lauren Jones (Eric), Jill Semple (Mike), Lauren, Colin, Jacob, Drew, and Trevor Eck, Adrienne Gelardi (Tod Parkhill), Lauren Everitt (Andrew), and Ashley Williams (Jason); and great-grandchildren she adored, Adelyn Jones, Jem Parkhill, and Olivia and Connor Everitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred J. and Mary (Kriss) Klein; siblings, Helen Mary (Andrew) Groesch, Donald (Anita) Klein, and Morris (Nancy) Klein; and beloved husband of 42 years, Robert T. Boyes.
Private family burial will be at a later date to remember and honor Joyce's remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Joyce's memory to Zion Luthern Church, 930 Main St., Huron, Ohio, 44839.
The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers and staff at Parkvue.
