Jonathan "Jonny" Bingle, 13, passed away peacefully Monday, July 29, 2024, at Nationwide Children's Hospital, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with ALS. Jonny brought immeasurable joy and light into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jonny was born July 4, 2011. He was a vibrant soul with an infectious smile and heart full of love. His kind heart, adventurous spirit, and addictive smile captivated all those he came in contact with. Jonny's courage in the face of adversity and his unyielding spirit will remain an inspiration to us all.
Jonny had a passion for cars, farming, and trains. He was an active member in Shining Clovers 4-H Club in Huron County. He loved taking care of and showing his jersey heifers at the fair. Jonny always had an amazing love for animals especially his dog, Gizmo. He loved helping around at the family farm whether it was riding or driving the skid loader or helping feed the cows. He enjoyed playing the piano and trombone. He could tell you anything about cars whether it was a Tesla or a Honda. His favorite was a Tesla Cyber Truck. Jonny was a seventh-grade student at Fremont Middle School.
Jonny is survived by his loving parents, Derek and Shannon Bingle, and sister, Brianna, who will forever treasure the precious moments and the deep love they shared. He is also remembered fondly by his grandparents, Cheryl Cessna, Gary and Pam Hansberger, and Paul Warthling, great-grandparents, Joan Bauerlein and Marian Warthling, aunts and uncles, Steph (Jim) Sibrel, Charlie (Kory) Warthling, Bill Hansberger, Lilly (Cody) Gregory, Erik (Kennedy) Hansberger, and Jeremy Hansberger, and cousins, Mason, Kate (Sean), Evan, Noah, Lane, Kendall, Chance, Zayla, and Eden.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Margaret Adone; grandfather, Fred Bingle; great-grandfather, George Bingle; great-grandfather, Edward Bauerlein; great-grandparents, Lloyd and Jerry Cessna; great-grandparents, Donald and Irene Hansberger; and great-grandfather, Paul Warthling.
Jonny's entire family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the entire Nationwide Children's Hospital care team. The love and care you provided Jonny and his family will forever be in our hearts.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, until the time of Jonny's funeral at 6 p.m. at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home, 416 South Arch Street, Fremont.
