John E. "Jack" Milliman

John E. "Jack" Milliman, 84, of Marysville, and formerly of Cave Creek, Arizona, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at his home.

Jack was born March 30, 1939, in Norwalk. He was raised in Norwalk and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1957. He served in U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War as a mail courier. He then served four years in U.S. Army Reserves.

A bricklayer/masonry superintendent by trade, Jack began his career at the age of 18 and retired in 2001 at the age of 62. He began his lifelong love of the southwestern United States when he moved to Arizona in 1967.

Jack enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing as a young boy with his Grandpa Milliman at Little Platte Lake, Michigan. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips to Punkin Center, Arizona with his wife, Marjorie. Known for his tough demeanor, Jack had a big heart and loved sharing stories about the people that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jack is survived by his Enciso cousins who loved him very much; and friends from both Ohio and Arizona, especially Mike and Sue McFadden.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Elouise and Pete Roth; brother, Jim Milliman; and many other Howard/Enciso relatives.

Mass of intention will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Milan.

The family is grateful for Nancy Enciso, Jack's companion and caregiver for the past two years, and also wishes to thank the very special caregivers of ViaQuest Hospice for his end of life care.
