John S. Boswell, 76, of Willard, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Mercy Health – Willard Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born Nov. 13, 1947, in Willard, to Frank and Wanda (Bennison) Boswell. He served in U.S. Army on active duty in Kuwait and Iraq and the National Guard for 28 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and working at New Horizon Bakery in Norwalk.

He is survived by his children, John (Yvonne) Boswell of New London, Mark Boswell of Norwalk, Kelly (Jacob) Thompson of Sandusky, and Dawn (Dennis Risner) Brant of Willard; grandchildren, Sierra, Isaac, Elivia, Cooper, Kaden, Morgan, and Dakota; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Elliana, Nova, Evelyn, Sophia, and Benjamin; siblings, Jacqueline (the late Pete) Kirby of Norwalk, Mike (Debbie) Boswell of Collins, and Sandi (Bob) Tow of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be 12-1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, followed by a graveside service with military honors at 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery.
