Joanne M. (Nestor) Parker, 88, Wellington, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Elms Retirement Village.

She was born September 30, 1936, in New London to Joseph and Treva (Phillips) Nestor.

Joanne graduated from Wellington High School and was very proud of her degree from The Ohio State University School of Economics. She was the home economics teacher at Western Reserve Schools as well as FHA advisor. Joanne was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Wakeman. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, annual trips to Florida and meeting up with friends at Sterks Restaurant in Wakeman.

Joanne is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (Michael A.) Muschitz; sons, Joel (Candace Stillman) Parker and Jerry Parker; grandchildren, Morgan Muschitz, Michael P. (Brylie Schafer) Muschitz, Joel Parker Jr., and Pierce Parker; great-granddaughter, Addison Castillo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Merle D. Parker; siblings, Norbert Nestor, Norma Jean Jones, Betty Chase, Robert Nestor, Margaret Pitts DaRubba, and Mary Nestor.

A private family graveside service will be at Wakeman Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Brickner.

Those wishing to contribute to Joanne's memory may do so to St Mary Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
