Jesse L. Riddle, 71, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 20, 1952, in Iowa City, Iowa, to James Edward and Norma Jean (Russell) Riddle Sr.
Jesse proudly served in U.S.States Army from 1969-1971 in the 82nd Airborne and Artillery at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was employed by LaFarge Quarry in Marblehead for 34 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, riding his motorcycle, traveling to Myrtle Beach, and watching westerns and the Weather Channel. He was an avid New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Kathryn Lee (Kramb) Riddle; children, Nina (Charlie) Riddle-Garza, Timothy and Derek Riddle, Kelly Thompson, and Jasmine Reed; many grandchildren; siblings, Ruth (Terry) Whiteside, Thelma (Lonnie) Bledsoe, Juanita Riddle, and Pansy (Paul) Weaver; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; children, Shawn and Shane Riddle; and siblings, William Russell and James Riddle Jr.
At his request, cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time.
Memorial contributions in Jesse's name may be made to Toft Funeral Home & Crematory to assist the family directly.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
