Jeremy Neese Obituary

Jeremy L. Neese

Dec 7, 1975 - Apr 8, 2025

Sandusky

Jeremy Latham Neese, 49, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday afternoon, April 8, 2025, at his home.

Born December 7, 1975, in Sandusky, the son of Jack Robert Neese and Jill Ann (Gahagan) Neese. Jeremy was a 1994 graduate of Perkins High School. He was a veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jeremy was self-employed, having worked in the boating industry in the local area for the past several years.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his son, going fishing, the arts, and mushroom hunting. Jeremy will especially be remembered by his family for being a true jokester, an avid fan of the Browns and how he was very very patriotic ( he had a die hard love for his country and the Marine Corps.). Also, he had a love for the arts, music and the film industry.

He was a life member of AMVETS Post No.17.

Jeremy is survived by his son, Jackson Latham Neese and his mother, Jennifer Lowe; a stepson, Joseph R. Sandy; his mother, Jill (Robert Niehm) Neese; his father, Jack (Rhonda) Neese; a sister, Caroline (John) Colwell; his two brothers, Christopher (Christa) Neese and Brian (Dahlia) Niehm; a niece, Arianna Mae Neese; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Carolyn Gahagan; his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Helen Hoffman; and his paternal grandfather, Roland Neese.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, with Deacon Bill Burch officiating. Jeremy will later be laid to rest next to his grandmother, Carolyn Gahagan, in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post No.83 and V.F.W. Post No.2529.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made in his memory to "Tunnel to Towers Foundation," 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.

Jeremy was my best childhood friend. Growing up he was the most creative person I knew, naturally talented and highly gifted in the arts, and never one to shy away from a great prank. Growing up we were like family and we had so many great experiences that are irreplaceable life long memories. This picture below is the last time I saw him, but I remember going out after this and we spent a lot of time catching up talking about the Marine Core, he was passionate about his service and our country. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Thank You for your service to this great country old friend and being an impactful influence in my life. May you rest in peace.
