Janet Sue Lavigne, 67, of Norwalk, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023.

She was born Aug. 8, 1956, in Norwalk, to Roger and Helen (Cole) Lavigne. She was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Norwalk High School and EHOVE in 1974.

Janet was proud of her family. She loved following her grandchildren's extracurricular activities and enjoyed fishing and BINGO. She loved animals, especially horses, and was active at one time in 4-H.

Janet was an auxiliary member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Norwalk VFW, and Norwalk Eagles Club. Although she was technically retired, she was currently working at Wendy's in Willard and Arby's in Norwalk.

Janet's survivors include her children, Timothy (Marcy) Lavigne, Tonya (Gary) Minich, and Andy Lavigne; grandchildren, Paaly, Andrew, Barrett, Jameson, Cole, and Cade; great-grandchildren, James, Jacqueline, Jeremy, Ava, and Asher; brother, Roger E. Lavigne; niece and nephew, Rhonda and Randal Adkins; and granddog, Brutus.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Janet's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Ann Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Norwalk.
