Willard

James "Red" Williams, 81, of Willard, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Metro Hospital, Cleveland. He was born Sept. 23, 1940, in Norwalk, to the late Harold and Evelyn (Phillips) Williams. Red was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Union Local #18. He was a member of American Legion, AMVETS and Moose. He enjoyed fishing and mowing lawn.

Red is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Walter) Williams, whom he married Feb. 12, 1966; son, Gerald (Christina) Williams of Monroeville; daughter, Tamara (Michael) Billman of Norwalk; grandchildren, Alek Hughes, Emily Hughes, Jordan Williams, and Jacob Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Nickolas Hughes.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022, at Secor Funeral Home, Willard. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery in Bismark, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue, Ohio, or to the donor's choice.
