James L. "Jim" Pierce

James L. "Jim" Pierce, 85, of Oberlin, died Friday, August 8, 2025, at home. Born November 14, 1939, in Ashland, he was the son of the late Robert E. and Marion (nee Wolcott) Pierce. Jim was a 1957 graduate of New London High School. He made his home in Oberlin in 1974.

Jim retired from Ford Motor Company, Lorain Plant. He enjoyed animals and raised chickens, beagles and horses. One of Jim's favorite places to be was on the golf course. He was an avid sports fan and was forever dedicated to his beloved Cleveland Indians and Browns.

Jim is survived by his fiancé and best friend, Rebecca A. "Becky" Milks; children, Tamala (Robert) Osborn, Cheryl (Dave) Pierce, and Christopher (Dee) Pierce; Becky's son, Jason Milks; sisters, Joyce Strain and Jennifer Concha; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Gayle Pierce and James "Jay" Pierce Jr; granddaughter, Robin Osborn; and siblings, John and Janice.

There will be no services at this time.
