I knew Jim from Nationwide and became friends. He never met a stranger. He loved his family and spoke of them proudly. He will be missed.

My condolences to the family. Jim and I worked at Autozone together. What pleasant man to be around.

I found out for the first time during the Summer of 2023 that I was a third cousin of Jim Maitland on the Mason side. Our Great-grandfathers (Lewis and George Mason) were brothers. Both Jim and I had a strong interest in genealogy, and I was able to use Ancestry.com to see how our families were related. We got together again during the Summer of 2024 for a trip to Lisbon, Ohio to see the cemeteries where our Mason relatives were buried. Jim had seen the graves before, and was very excited to show them to me for the first time. I will always remember that day spent with Jim and the experiences we shared about the history of our Mason relatives.

Sorry, to hear this news about Jim. I want to school with him. Always at our class reunions.
The last few months I haven´t since him. I would look for him at the basketball games. We shared our birthdays in February but he was older than me by 10 days. Just a joke we had going.
