Grace Bishop, 91, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Avita Hospital, Bucyrus.

She was born Sept. 8, 1931, in West Lodi, to the late Albert and Vivian (Dendinger) Slingwine and has been a New Washington resident since 1957. She graduated from Thompson High School and was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and Rosary Altar Society in New Washington. She formerly worked at Woolworth's in Tiffin, then at GE in Bellevue for five years before getting married. Grace enjoyed watching birds, her rock and flower bed on the hill, crocheting, and most of all, raising her children.

She is survived by four sons, Michael Bishop of New Washington, Kevin (Dori) Bishop of Bloomville, and twins Tom and Tim Bishop, both of New Washington; three daughters, Jane (John) Ott of Norwalk, Susan (Rick) Clady of New Washington, and Mary Lou (Jeff) Hamilton of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Sandy) Slingwine of Green Springs; three sisters, Fern (Jim) Kinn of Alvada, Ireta Martin of Tiffin, and Mary Jane Covert of Tiffin; sister-in-law, Kate Slingwine of Clyde; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bishop; parents, Albert and Vivian (Dendinger) Slingwine; brother, Richard Slingwine; and brothers-in-law, Bob Covert and Bill Martin.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, at Secor Funeral Home, New Washington. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, New Washington, with Fr. Michael Diemer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, New Washington.
