Gloria F. Wood, 84, of Bellevue, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at The Bellevue Care Center.

She was born Oct. 14, 1938, in Willard, the daughter of the late Oliver and Clara (Beckstein) Holmes.

Mother, sister, aunt, grams, great, and friend, whose love of the seasons and holidays, especially Halloween, was a large part of the memories of all who knew her. She was an avid gardener who took great pleasure in growing flowers. She loved nature and enjoyed feeding and watching birds. She was the No. 1 fan of her family in all of their endeavors. All saw and felt her love in many different ways. This exceptional woman will truly be missed.

Gloria is survived by her children, Scott (Debbie) Wood of Bellevue, Lane (Jackie) Wood of Blacklick, Ohio, Kerry (Dave) Cress of Castalia, and Karen Doore of Bellevue; grandchildren, Thomas, Bryan, Joshua, Hannah, and Owen; great-grandchildren, Malia, Olivia, Delaney, Brynna, Grey, and Nova; brother, Oliver Sonny (Pauline) Holmes of Avon Lake; and sister, Lois Landoll of Bellevue.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Clara Reed and Flora Mae Mohn; and brothers, Frederick and Larry Holmes.

Friends will be received 3-6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, Ohio, 44811.
