I remember Ms. Gibson fondly. She already knew me when she became my teacher because my dad taught at Stamford High with her. She asked my father to speak to our class about his time serving in Vietnam. It was the first time I had ever heard him speak about it. What a gift it was to learn about that time in my dad's life! I will be forever grateful to her for that opportunity and for opening that door. She also fostered my love of history and I became a history major in college. Rest easy, Ms. Gibson!
