Gary Music Obituary

Gary Ronald Music

Jul 30, 1945 - Oct 3, 2022

Plymouth

Gary Ronald Music, 77, of Plymouth, went to be with his parents and siblings Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at Ames Hospice in Westlake.

He was born July 30, 1945, the only child of 13 to be born in a hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky, to William McKenley and Venious (Ratliff) Music. Gary grew up in Greenwich before going into U.S. Army and Vietnam. One of the original employees in 1977, he would finish his career at Pepperidge Farm in Willard where he retired in 2004. Gary loved camping, fishing, shooting, and reloading, tinkering in the garage, as well as gardening and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Gary loved his family and friends and would do anything for anyone. No one was a stranger. He especially loved spending time with his wife and best friend of almost 50 years, Deanna.

Gary is survived by his wife, Deanna (Caudill) Music; children, Bret (Arlene) Music, Penny Music, and Arron Drew (Renee) Music; grandchildren, Walker and Bradyn Music, Laura Jane, Demi and Cash Music, and Megan, Garrett, Dakota, and Gavin Music; numerous great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; two siblings, William "Bud" Music and Ronnie Music; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close in-laws and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Ray and Naomi Caudill; sisters, Dora and Dorothy (twins), Barbara Ann Music, Zora Inmon, Yvonne Slone, Billie Jean Deskins, and Annis Mae Deskins; and brothers, Raymond Darrell, Ivan, and John Music.

Per Gary's wishes, there will not be any services. However, a celebration of life will be given for friends and family at a later date. Thanks to everyone at the VA, St. John's, and Ames Hospice in Westlake, as well as Ohio Crematorium in Ontario.

I certainly enjoyed my longtime relationship with Gary at Pepperidge. I cherished our time playing softball together. I remember one time playing in a tournament in Willard and he came to my rescue when the runner purposely ran me over at home plate. I was the catcher. Gary threw the guy up against the backstop before I even had a chance to get off the ground. We created a lot of memories together at work. I cherish all those times.
Sincerely, Frank McFarland

I will always cherish the memories of Uncle Gary, there are many! Little league coach, all the insights on how to slow pitch, shooting, fishing, and so much more. All the times in his famous green bronco. Always joyful, humble and loving. We will miss you and love you , but thankful for the memories! Love and D and the rest of the family
