Gary F. Gregory, 83, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at The Willows in Willard.

He was born Feb. 18, 1939, in Monroeville, to the late Floyd and Erma (Spring) Gregory. He was a graduate of Monroeville High School and served in U.S. Navy from 1957-1959 while being stationed in Cuba. He worked as a truck driver for over 42 years with Ford Motor Co. in Lorain and retired from the Avon Lake plant. He was known as "grandpa duck" to his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed western movies, classic rock, The Eagles, and country music. He was a prankster and was an avid golfer. He was past commander at American Legion Post 41 in Norwalk.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Denise (Ross) Gregory of Norwalk; children, Kim (David) Stang of Monroeville, Sherrie (Donavon) Karnehm of Monroeville, Debbie Gregory of Norwalk, Jim (Wendy) Gregory of Norwalk, Justin Hopson of Norwalk, and James (Sara) Hopson of Norwalk; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Gregory of Maryland, Gayle Gregory of Colorado, and Helen Slater of Vickery; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Carol Gregory, in 1993; twin brother, Larry Gregory; brother, John Gregory; grandson, Craig Karnehm; and brother in infancy.

A celebration of life gathering will be 2-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Norwalk American Legion Post 41, 406 W. Main Street, Norwalk,. Private interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville later.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
