Gary L. Beamer, 63, of New Haven, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at Avita Health System in Ontario, Ohio.

He was born Nov. 24, 1959, in Willard, to Bruce Beamer and Betty (Hughes) Holden. Gary was a 1978 graduate of Seneca East High School, was a hoist driver at Lake Side Book Company (formally R.R. Donnelley and Sons) in Willard for 43 years, and was a volunteer fireman and EMT for Willard Fire and Rescue. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially cats. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife, Victoria "Vickie" (Brown) Beamer, whom he married April 26, 1986; sister, Tracy (Jimmy) Arnold; nephew, Trevor Arnold (Madissen Crow); nieces, Janet Arnold (Brody Service) and Alexandra Barnaby-Brown; and brother-in-law, Christopher Brown; and stepbrother, Gary (Carol) Holden and their family.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Betty (Hughes) Holden; father, Bruce Beamer; stepfather, Gordon Holden; and parents-in-law, Florian and Rose Brown.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Secor Funeral Home, Willard, until the time of Gary's service at 12 p.m. with Pastor Dan Caudill officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Willard.
