Fanny M. Lindsey, 83, resident of Greenwich, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, at The Laurels of New London. She was born Jan. 2, 1939, in Floyd County, Kentucky, to the late Allen and Junie (McCarty) Barnett.

Fanny enjoyed gardening and fishing. Her family was the most important part of her life and she cherished the time she spent with them.

Fanny is survived by her eight children, Junie Wilson, Rita (Randy) Ramey, Marion (Diana) Lindsey, Lisa (Tom) Hale, Vickie Lindsey (Eddie Hale), Bridget Velasco, Hazel (Gonzalo) Velasco, and Linda McBee; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and three sisters, Irene Riley, Thelma Barnett, and Josephine Hawks.

In addition to her parents, Fanny was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lindsey who passed away Feb. 1, 1999; son, Timothy Lindsey; daughter, Clara Wilson; two grandsons, Damien Lindsey and Lucas Tuttle; son-in-law, Keith Wilson; and five siblings, Clarence Barnett, Dorothy Barnett, Emma Moody, Elleree Alyea, and Kathleen Hall.

Family and friends are invited to visit 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022, at Secor Funeral Home, Willard. Fanny's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.

Fanny was a wonderful lady. I use to visit her with my mom and step dad Clarence Barnett. Booty loved his sister . My condolences go to her family. May she RIP
