Estella Patterson Obituary

Estella Pearl "Teddy" Patterson

Estella Pearl "Teddy" Patterson entered the golden gates of heaven Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 8:45 a.m. at Bridge Hospice at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay after a short illness. She entered this world September 21, 1938, to the late Ralph and Princess (Todd) Copus. She was married for several years to the love of her life, Marshall William "Bill" Patterson, who preceded her in death.

Teddy is survived by sons, Ralph Patterson of Arcadia and Marshall "Billy" (Nicole) Patterson of Findlay. Her daughter, Brenda Routson, preceded her in death. Other survivors include her sisters, Esther Louise (Holley) Hance of Findlay and Princess "Peggy" (Orville, deceased) Coldren of Findlay; grandchildren, Riley (fianceé, Courtney) Jordan Patterson, Marsha Cramer, Melanie Sorg, Amanda Patterson, Cody Patterson, Derek Steffen, Tyler Routzon, and Joshua Routzon; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also preceding Teddy in death were a granddaughter, Charlie Steffen and four brothers, Ralph, James, Robert and Harold Copus.

Teddy worked for many years as the bookkeeper for a variety of her family businesses. She retired later from Quality Farm and Fleet Warehouse. She was blessed to be a member and loved both church families at Upper Room Church of God and First Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid doll and angel collector, loved crocheting for family and friends, and leaves behind an extended family from Amish Country, as well as her Canadian Family and her Tractor Pulling Family from the National Tractor Pulls in Bowling Green, where she was affectionately known as "Northside Pulltown Grandma." She wanted to acknowledge the fact that her son, Ralph and grandson, Riley, were special caregivers sent by the Lord and acknowledge a special friend, Peggy Caudil and special great-granddaughter, Eden, and Sarah and Rod Nofziger family. Teddy loved traveling with her family and taking tickets at fairs and festivals and the live nativity scenes for Patterson Pony Rides and Hope Express. She had a special place in her heart for all types of animals, including her parrot, Margie, dog, Wyatt, and the kangaroos, camels, lemurs, but her favorite were her two tortoises.

Visitation will be from noon-5 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2025, at First Church of the Nazarene Church in Findlay, where the funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Pastors Mike McClurg, Mike Legg and Randy Liggett will officiate. Interment will follow at Bechtel Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to either First Church of the Nazarene or Upper Room Church of God.

Online condolences are welcome at www.coldrencrates.com.

Teddy wanted to share with everyone her favorite Bible Verse, which is found in Proverbs 3:5-6, which says: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding." In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

I worked with Teddy for a short time at quality farm and fleet but while I was there she made me feel at home by being polite and that is why I remembered her,she was a kind and special lady.
