Eric Richard White, 59, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026. He fought a short but mighty battle with pancreatic cancer.

Eric was born in Norwalk, August 24, 1966, to Thomas White and Darlene (Berner) White. He graduated from Monroeville High School and Heidelberg University with a degree in accounting. Eric spent over 36 years as a respected corporate accountant, including director and manager roles.

Eric is survived by his wife, Vernae White; his children, Jarrett White and Zoe White; his parents, Thomas and Darlene White; his siblings, Michelle (Steve) Kluding, Scott (Beth) White and Matthew (Jennifer) White; plus nieces and nephews who brought him joy.

In 1989, Eric left Ohio for Alaska with his best friend, Darrin Masters, to pursue their dreams of photographing wildlife. Eric fell in love with the Great Land and found the love of his life, Vernae, his wife of 35 years. This began his adventurous life. Eric loved the outdoors, fishing, photographing wildlife, birding, hiking and cross-country skiing. Eric loved being a father and was the best! He adored his children and was very proud of them. He loved his family, friends, and his church. He was kind and generous and will be missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroeville, Ohio. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall after the service, and all are welcome to bring their fondest memories to share with Eric's family.
