Wakeman
Emmitt Carroll, 73, of Wakeman and formerly of Berlin Heights, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at University of Toledo Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 10, 1949, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, and attended Western Reserve High School. He was raised by his grandparents, L.B. and Cynthia Case. He worked in construction and owned A-1 Auto Sales and True Value Auto Sales. He attended New Covenant Lighthouse Ministries, Norwalk, and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Carroll; children, Stacy (Ruben) Garcia of Norwalk, Troy Carroll of Wissconsin, Jason (Jessie) Carroll of Norwalk, Cyndi (Randy) Hayes of South Amherst, Eric Carroll of Bellevue, Kathy (Fred) Hartman of Wakeman, and Margie Carroll of Florida; and brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Carroll in 1986; and brother, Larry Wooten.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at Trinity Temple Church, State Route 113 E., Milan. Emmitt's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at the church with the Rev. Ken Blystone officiating. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Wounded Warriors Project, Ronald McDonald House, or New Covenant Lighthouse Ministries building fund.

Emmitt I had the chance to meet you and call you my friend. We had talked a couple months ago about me coming out to see you and spend a few days . That time did not come . Thank you for all the great memories we had made together. You will be forever missed my friend may you rest in peach fly high buddy
