Eileen Joyce (Baker) Ungerer, 75, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Oct. 14, 1948, in Cumberland, Maryland, to Sylvester P. and Vera (Beaven) Baker. She retired after 28 years of service with Huron County Job and Family Services. She worked other jobs over the years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and was known to sacrifice for and support her children throughout their lives.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Amy) Ungerer of Green Springs and Jason Ungerer of Norwalk; siblings, David (Linda) Baker of Florida, Lesley (Jim) Cochran of Indiana, Maureen (Curtis) Johnston of California, Lorraine (Arthur) Barrette of Milan, Robin Baker of Florida, Barbara (Ken) Richardson of Arizona, Marjorie (Bruce) Sanford of Norwalk, and Richard Baker of Florida; special nieces, Jillian Puder of Clyde and Sarah (Derek) Ferry of Huron, who she raised as her own; four grandchildren; and other nieces and nephews.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Terry Baker; and great-nephew, Michael Ezell in infancy.
Visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, until the time of Eileen's service at 1 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

So sorry for your loss. Lots of fond memories with Eileen. She was a dedicated person at work and to her family. Shared many wonderful stories and was always so proud of her children and grandchildren! Prayers for the family.
