Edward R. "Ed" Stoner, 75, of Norwalk, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at MetroHealth Hospital, Cleveland.

He was born May 22, 1948, in Mansfield, to Patricia A. (Swan) Bismore and Ernest R. Stoner and was a 1966 Western Reserve graduate.

Ed served his country as a part of U.S. Air Force. He was very knowledgeable and talented with computers, appliance repair, and technology in general. He used those skills working for Sears for over 25 years. He also owned Blue Seas Tropicals, an aquatics and fish keeping store in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ed was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Peru, where he was baptized in 2019. He was a family man who cherished time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and rooting for Cleveland Browns.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary (Sprowl) Stoner of Norwalk; sons, Scott and Christopher (Kayli) Stoner, both of Norwalk; grandchildren, Tristan, Jamie, Norah, and Robert "RJ" Stoner; sisters, Debbie Pierce, Beverly Berk, Londa (David) Barman, and Michelle Shimp; brother, Brian (Sunneva) Stoner; sister in-law, Denise Stoner; brothers in-law, Kevin (Nancy) Sprowl and Doug (Winsome) Sprowl; and several other extended family members.

Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Bismore; father, Ernest Stoner; sister, Judy Jones; and brother, Cory Stoner.

Visitation for friends and family will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, at St. Alphonsus Church, 1322 Settlement Rd., Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.
