Edward Myers Obituary

Edward H. Myers, 78, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, in his home. Born in Greensburg, Oct. 21, 1924, he was the son of the late Harry and Katherine McGivern Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris; and two sisters, Jean Zappone and Kathleen Wendell. Mr. Myers will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and enthusiasm for croquet. He will be affectionately remembered and missed as "Pop-Pop" to his many younger friends. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen A. McCormick and her husband, The Honorable Richard E. McCormick Jr., and Mrs. Susan M. Bradley and her husband, Patrick J. Jr.; four grandchildren, Rebecca E. Szweda and her husband, Scott M., Patrick J. Bradley III, Richard F. McCormick and Susan E. McCormick; a great-grandson, Samuel Aaron Szweda; and a sister, Emma Morrison, of Greensburg. Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 12:30 p.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1 p.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral with the Rev. Michael J. Begolly as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Family wishes memorial donations to Clelian Heights, RD9 Greensburg, PA 15601. Terence L.
