Edward L. Ashley, 72, of Carl Junction, Missouri, formerly of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2025, after a lengthy illness at his home with his wife at his side.

He was born August 5, 1952, in Norwalk to the late Albert "Leo" and Margaret (McGinn) Ashley.

He loved cruising in his classic yellow 1923 automobile. Edward also enjoyed casinos and spending time with the locals at the senior center.

He is survived by his wife, Shana Morris Ashley, who he married December 27, 2004. His sons, Aaron (Jackie) Ashley of New Mexico, Beau (Michelle) Ashley of Texas, Trenton (Amy) Morris of Kansas; his grandchildren, Nicalous Crespin, Darron Ashley, Kylee Ashley, all of New Mexico, Posie, Archie and Kit Morris, all of Kansas; great-granddaughter, Lillian Crespin of New Mexico; his brothers, William (Sophie) Ashley (Edward's twin) of Oregon, Ohio and Gregory Ashley of Norwalk; his sisters, Aleta Kovach of Norwalk (born on his second birthday), Marie Giles of Norwalk, Cynthia (Pablo) Garcia of Austin, Texas and her twin Sandra Wilcox of Norwalk; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his aunts, Gertrude McGinn and Rachael Bowdoin; and uncle, John Jarvis.

A good guy I knew back in the day.
We all left Norwalk about the same time in 1971 72. Ed left to Albuquerque with some friends and I left for Air Force Boot Camp. Didn't get to see him through all these years but I'll never forget the times we had that fall of 1971, or the friends we. Made back then. Sorry to hear of his passing. Wish we could of connected one last time.
