Edith D. (Duff) Lewis, 83, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at her home.

She was born March 15, 1939, in Manchester, Kentucky. She was a wonderful wife and mother, staying home to care for her four children. Edith attended Sandusky Church of God.

Edith is survived by her husband, Don Lewis, whom she married Dec. 8, 1956; sons, Gary (Carol) Lewis and Dwayne (Anna) Lewis; daughter, Donna Patrick; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Essie Nolan; brothers, Ronnie, Dennis, and Ray C. Duff; and other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maggie May Duff; daughter, Janice Edwards; sisters, Jewaldyne Smith, Ruth Smith, and Lovelle Owens; and brother, Donnie Duff.

Friends may call 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, until the time of Edith's funeral at 1 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky Chapel, 2001 Columbus Ave. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice for their excellent care and service to the family. Condolences may be shared online at toftfuneralhome.com.
