Earl William Dickman, 89, of Milan, passed away late Thursday evening, Feb. 1, 2023, at Stein Hospice Care Center.

Earl was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Sandusky, to the late Russell and Margaret (Jaycox) Dickman. He attended Sandusky High School and worked at Ford Motor Company as a machine operator and general laborer for 33 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge, Eagles, and Bronson Conservation League. Earl was a very skilled handyman. He could fix anything, but was especially proficient with small engine repair. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and boating.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Manns) Dickman, whom he married June 30, 1956; son, Bill (Pam) Dickman of Monroeville; five grandchildren, Ryan (Brittany), Drew, Ashley (Stevie), Aaron (Allison), and Stephanie (Mike); six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Stoll, Joanna (Roger) Hitchcock, and Ellen (John) Trieber; brother, John Dickman; and sister-in-law, Lynnette (Merrett) Scheufler.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Smith; and brothers, Leon Dickman and Russell Dickman.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Earl's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Procession and graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
