Donny Ray Jennings, 70, residing in Berlin Heights, passed away early Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, 2024 at home.

Donny was born on June 14, 1954, in Auburn, Indiana, to Charles Marvin Jennings and Betty (Pugh) Jennings.

Donny retired after 39 years of service as an engineering supervisor at Tenneco in Milan, Ohio. Donny was a member of Sandusky Community Church of The Nazarene, Gideons International, and was active for over 33 years in many leadership roles in Boy Scouts, and was a Silver Beaver Award recipient. He enjoyed bee keeping, woodcarving, hunting, trapping and fishing, he also enjoyed being a Washington D.C. tour guide for school kids. Donny was a collector of many things. He especially enjoyed his family and friends, and he was a stranger to no one.

Donny is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary (Jeremay) Jennings, whom he married on June 26, 1972. He is also survived by his mother, Betty (Pugh) Jennings of Sandusky; daughter, Amanda (Andrew) Walton of Sandusky; three sons, Jonathan (Alyce) Jennings of Ravenna, David Jennings of Bellevue, and Nathan (Susan) Jennings of Oak Harbor; eight grandchildren, Abby, Emma, Ruby, Faith, Drew, Peter, Liv, and Lydia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Donny was preceded in death by his father, Charles Marvin "Tim" Jennings; brother, Larry (Dodie) Jennings; and sister, Vickie (Rocky) Moore.

Visitation for friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory-Milan Chapel, 1 South Main Street Milan, Ohio, 44846. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory-Milan Chapel, with Pastor Keith Martinez presiding. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery, Milan, Ohio.
