Donita (Myers) R. Evans, 66, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 27, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Donita was born on May 19, 1958, in Norwalk to the late Donald Vance Myers and Donna Jean (Krontz) Jenkins.

Donita graduated from Western Reserve and Ehove. She was employed as a vending service woman at Tenneco Automotive for many years. Donita enjoyed bingo, bunco club, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donita leaves behind her husband of 27 years, Gary Evans; her son, Steven Haker; her two grandchildren, Kaylee & Gage. She is also survived by her siblings, Dawn Baker, Denise Doughty, Judy (Bill) Palmer, Jodie Lynch, David (Laura) Myers, Wayne (Michelle) Jenkins, Ernie Jenkins, Donna (Calvin) Conway, and David Bowling; sister-in-law, Janet Evans, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Donita is preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenneth Jenkins; sister, Debra Pflieger; sister-in-laws, Stephanie Jenkins and Wilma Jean Hemmer; brothers-in-law, David Baker, Richard Doughty and Marvin Evans; aunt, Phyllis Krontz; nephews, Jack Lynch and Robert Doughty; mother-in-law, Mary Eloise Evans.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m. Wednesday April 2, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, Ohio.
