Donald "Don" Plaskett, 78, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic.

Don was born April 14, 1945, in Torrington, Connecticut, to Leona (Woiceichowski) Plaskett and Gurdon Plaskett. He grew up and attended school in Connecticut. In June, 1989, he moved to Ohio to pursue a career opportunity with General Motors. Don started as a general laborer and was eventually promoted to manager before retiring after 30 years of service. Don enjoyed traveling, car rides, attending car shows, casino trips, and golfing. He was a skilled cook who enjoyed making food for others. Don was a dog lover who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Don is survived by his loving spouse, Sandy (Rutherford) Plaskett, whom he married Nov. 10, 2004; daughter, Dawn (Steve Sholes) Plaskett of Norwalk; stepchildren, Jacqueline (Greg) LaFountain of Oak Harbor and Jimmy McClune of Norwalk; grandchildren, Avery Fulton and Treasa Fulton; and brother, Robert Plaskett of Kentucky.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Yvonne (Paquette) Plaskett, who passed in 2003.

Memorial visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.
