Davilee (Perkins) Willis, 95, of Norwalk, formerly of Berlin Heights, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Admiral's Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 6, 1930, in Huntington, West Virginia, to James and Mayola (Keesee) Perkins.
Davilee went to school in Berlin Heights. She launched numerous successful business ventures throughout her life and had an innate talent for identifying unmet needs in the area, including: The Red Apple, Bogart Corner Bed & Breakfast, The Perkins Market, The Dairy Bar, and was an Avon & Sarah Coventry representative. She was a member of Milan Baptist Church for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed treasure hunting, gardening, being a story teller of family history, being by the lake and enjoyed watching her family in sports and other activities. She was most proud of her work at the First Baptist Church of Rock Hill, Rock Hill, South Carolina.
She is survived by her daughters, Gerry Pooler, Deb Grieger; sons, Brian (Tamra) Willis, Greg (Sue) Willis, Dan (Heather) Willis, grandchildren, Ron Shook, Erin (Alex) Grammar, Justin (Katy) Willis, Tacey (William) Hesmer, Jacob (Laryssa) Willis, Jake Grieger, Shelby Willis, Zoe Willis, Zaylee Willis, Cassie Swan, and Paul Nageotte; great-grandchildren, Wendy Grammar, Taylor (Owen) Conn, Chloe Shook, Elissia Willis, Owen Willis, Isaac Willis, William Hesmer III, Anderson Hesmer, Hunter Hesmer, Blaire Willis, and Kate Rose Willis; sister; Virginia Shaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Zendon Willis, to whom she was married to for over 46 years; son, Perry Wallace; son-in-law, Dr. Thomas Grieger; grandson, Cory Willis; sisters, Eleanor Cherry, Mary Jane Wilson, and Babe Olson; and brothers, Bill, J.E., Alan, Dick and Bob Perkins.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, at Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, 38 South Street, Berlin Heights. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Toft Funeral Home, Hinman Chapel, with Chaplain Mel Sayler presiding. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
