David Wickham Obituary

David Wheaton Wickham, son of Norwalk natives Ann Hoyt Battle Wickham and David Benedict Wickham, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, in Cincinnati at age 94.
David graduated from University of Cincinnati, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and Army ROTC. He proudly served in U.S. Army after graduation. A respected mechanical engineer who dedicated over 30 years of service to Procter & Gamble, David's contributions to his field were significant and enduring.
Outside of his professional life, David was passionate about golf, tennis, and boating, pursuits that brought him great joy and relaxation.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delia Vollette Wickham; stepsister, Ann Hammond; daughters, Catherine Wickham Fremont, Frances Wickham Lee, and Ann Wickham; stepchildren, Ann Vollette Fischer and Douglas Vollette; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Coughlin Wickham; and stepdaughter, Julia Vollette Duerksen.
David's life was marked by the importance he placed on family and dedication to his career.
David's memorial service will be at Wyoming, Ohio, Presbyterian Church, with details forthcoming. David will be interred during a private ceremony at his beloved Oak Bluff on the shores of Lake Erie in Huron.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Grove Funeral Home, 4389 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati.

David was a sweet man always happy when he woke up in the morning he would sing and joke I´m so glad I got to work with David you sure are missed but never forgotten Mr. David that´s what I called him
