David Willard Shaw, 88, long-time resident of Castalia and Orange City, Florida, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024.

David was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Bellaire, to Ralph and Alberta Shaw. David was married to Helen Shaw for 67 years, having four children together. He enjoyed hunting, golfing (where he carded four holes-in-one), bowling, shuffleboard, and playing cards. He was a tool & die maker at Ford Motor Company until he retired in 1994. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Bernie Hohler of Massillon and Darlene Shaw of Columbus; children, Dave E. Shaw of Helena and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Shaw of Maineville; grandchildren, Jamie (Shaw) Huffman, Dana (Shaw) Chisholm, Jason Schloesser, Julie (Shaw) Evans, Ryan Schloesser, Chelsea Schloesser, Owen Shaw, Casey Shaw, and Whitney Landis; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Alberta; brother, Daniel Shaw; wife, Helen (Carpenter) Shaw; daughter, Debra (Shaw) Schloesser; and son, Gregory Shaw.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice.

David's graveside service will be at Scott Union Cemetery, Huron, at a later date.
