Dave and Elaine are still in my thoughts. They were dear friends of my husband, Ron Freeman. I live in a house in his hometown that will always honor Dave´s creativity, and I will continue to contribute to St. Jude´s in his memory.

Jennifer. I went to the Institute of Design with Eric, oh so long ago. I was thinking of him today, looked his name up, and read of your father's passing. I'm very sorry for your loss. I just want you to know that Eric's memory lives on with folks who he touched more than 30 years ago. I'm certain it was the same with your dad who I remember to be quite charismatic. Sending you and yours peace and light.

Dave and I collaborated in particular on the Harry Weese & Associates role on the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit project c. ~1982-84 with myself as the resident architect holding down the fort with Dave a regular visitor to help me out and lend further credence to our efforts.
One evening as we repaired to my apartment balcony for a couple of well-earned "Tiger Beers" as we watched the sun sink into the South China Sea while flocks of bats emerged from the ubiquitous palm trees with myna birds swooping and sweeping to gather and eat them up, suddenly a sea eagle interrupted the peaceful aerial ballet to swoop into the fray, gather with its talons a myna bird with its bat in tow, turn 180 degrees, and head straight for us on my apartment balcony before heading straight up in front of us and disappear behind us.
While I remained speechless and gaping Dave quipped,
"Well! That was no Mina bird! No, that was one heck of a maja bird!"
Dave and Elaine shall remain in my heart while being sorely missed!
RIP In Loving Memory . . .
Regards,
Robert Keenan
