Sandusky
David Gott, 78, of Sandusky, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at Meadows at Osborn Park after a brief illness.
After his death, his body was donated to the medical research program at Wright State University.
He was born in 1944 in Amherst to Charlotte and Graford Gott, who lived most of their life in Norwalk.
He was a 1962 graduate of Norwalk High School and was a life-long internet technology professional.
Aside from his career, he was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (nee Dyer); sister, Sharon (Dan) Zerkel of Columbus; and children, Michael (Allison Kayuha) Gott of Cincinnati, Andrew (Joanne) Gott of Athens, Tennessee, Sara (John) Grace of Providence, Rhode Island, Jon Gott of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Kate Gott of Sandusky, Adam (Dianna) Gott of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mark (Kelly) Gott of Matthews, North Carolina, and Brian Gott of Norwalk.
David's celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Grace Episcopal Church, 315 Wayne St., Sandusky.
Memorials can be sent to the activities fund at Meadows at Osborn Park, 3916 Perkins Ave., Huron, Ohio, 44839.

Hello to Janet and Sharon and all of you kiddos of Davids!! I just had a conversation w/Sharon and learned of Davids' death, so sorry for your loss. We were all good friends growing up at First Baptist Church and have a lot of good memories of your husband/dad/brother/grandpa. He was such a nice guy. We also went to Norwalk High school together and belonged to BYF which has a lot of memories of fun times. I know God loved him and that he is in a "good place" now. The Gotts were great people and I'm glad I got to know them. Love to all of you.

I went to Norwalk High School with Dave. He was pretty cool when he went ripping around the block on his go-cart. I never saw him get mad or excited about anything.
