Darleen Anne Riccelli Wood, 86, of Sandusky, passed away August 13, 2025, at Parkview Memory Care Unit.
She was born February 22, 1939, in Sandusky, to Sterling and Madeline (Roswurm) Riccelli.
Darleen graduated from Sandusky High School and retired from General Motors, where she was an Executive Secretary. She was a former member of the Huron Yacht Club, Red Hats Society and a volunteer for Hospice. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her sister, Carol (Jack) Bryson; loving son, Steve (Kim) Wood of Huron; daughter, Sheryl (John) Alleger Springfield, VA; seven grandchildren, Darby, Miles, Bryce, Nichole (Michael) Wykes, John (Amber) Alleger IV, Michelle (Elijah) Clanton, and Chelsea (Bryan) Pathemore; 12 great-grandchildren, Kiera, Odon, Nash, Nix, Christopher, Nathaniel, Noah, Thomas, Rayne, Juliana, Tristan, and Peyton; and various nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband, Thomas.
Darleen's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stein Hospice.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
