Clyde Thomas Cunningham, 89, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 29, 2023, at Wickshire Countryside ALDS, Clearwater, Florida.
Clyde was born April 16, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Clyde James and Helen (Frost) Cunningham. He was a veteran having served honorably in U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years, he worked in sales for Keebler Cookies, Snyder Potato Chips, and Thomas Neilson-Word Publishing Company in the Publishing Division of ABC before retiring.
Clyde was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and American Legion Post # 83.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline M. (DeCaro) Cunningham, whom he married in 1965; two stepsons, Sam (Mary Jo) Artino of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Norman Obermeyer Jr. of Norwalk; eight stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and stepdaughter-in-law, Debra Obermeyer.
It was his wish to be cremated. There will be no funeral. Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105-9959, or Erie County Community Foundation, 135 E. Washington Row, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870, in memory of Anna and Sam Barone.
Arrangements have been entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
