Catherine Elizabeth (nee: Murdock) Watson, 90, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Catherine was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Cleveland, to William and Charlotte (Cunningham) Murdock.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; son, Craig (Jill) Watson of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; daughters, Erin (Russell) Williams of Rocky River and Nancy Watson of Canton; grandchildren, Victor (Rebecca) Watson and Aubrey Watson, Ryan Williams, and Keeley (Kevin) Hanzlick; and great-granddaughters, Ophelia and Penelope Watson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Murdock.

Cathy was a resident of Westlake and former resident of Perry, Carlisle Pennsylvania, Painesville, and Wakeman. She graduated from Wakeman High School in 1950. She was a member of First Church Congregational in Painesville and American Business Women's Association. She retired in 1994 from Union Federal in Painesville as District Manager.

Visitation for friends and family will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Cathy's memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at First Church Congregational, 22 Liberty Street, Painesville. The family will receive friends at a luncheon in the church social room following the service.

Sympathies to the family. Great picture of her because we remember her with that smile. She and Dennis would come across to Christine's house for gatherings and we always had such a lovely time visiting with them. A lovely lady for sure who could bring a smile to anyone's face.
