Willard
Carolyn A. Smith, 90, resident of Willard, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 3, 1932, to Maurice Huffman and Kathryne (Gibson) Noe.
She was a life-long resident of Willard, 1950 graduate of Willard High School, and graduate Registered Dental Hygienist from O.S.U. Drs. Swarner, Makovic Rolsten as a dental hygienist. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, The Willard Research Club, Willard area historical society, Firelands District United Methodist Women Mission Team, Local United Methodist Women, Crusaders Sunday School Class, and Willard Administrative Council.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, LeeAnn and Ron Inmon of Greenwich; son, Daniel Smith of Willard; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Linda (Bob) Mitchell of Phoenix, Arizona; three stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren, all of Arizona; cousin, John (Mary Jane) Gibson of Port Clinton; and niece Connie Burton of Richmond, Virginia.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Smith who passed away Nov. 14, 2009; son, David in 1992; one infant son; one infant granddaughter; sister, Hilda Zimmerman of Collins; mother, Kathryne Gibson Noe in 1992; father, Maurice Huffman; stepfather, Dallas Noe; daughter-in-law, Beverly Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Lee (Jack) Harter; and niece, Cindy Young.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at Ripley Church, Greenwich. Carolyn's funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at the church with Pastor Eric Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel of Jesus Christ through The American Bible Society, Gideon's International, Ripley Church, or Grace United Methodist.
