Caroline A. O'Brien, 85, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Monday, December 22, 2025, atGaymontNursing Center.Caroline was born August 26, 1940, to the late Carl J.andBernadine M. (McEnroe) Nickoli.
Caroline was a lifelong resident of Norwalk, a member of St. Paul High School Class of 1958, and she graduated as valedictorian. She later married the love of her life, Ambrose O'Brien, May 4, 1963, at St. Paul Catholic Church, where they were devoted and active members. Caroline found joy in tending her flowers and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In 2017, she and her husband, Ambrose, were honored with Huron County Outstanding Senior Citizen Award in recognition of their dedicated volunteer service.
She is survived by her sons,Michaeland David O'Brien; her grandsons, Nathaniel, Quentin, and Jacob; her sister, Ann (Tom) Kocher; and nieces, Sherry Wiseman, Sandy Kocher; and nephew, Danny Kocher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Ambrose O'Brien; and grandson, Michael P. O'Brien Jr.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.- noon Monday, December 29, 2025, at Walker- Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk. Funeral Mass will begin at 1 p.m.at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main St., Norwalk. Burial will follow the conclusion of the Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Wakeman.
Memorial contribu-tions in Caroline's name can be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
